Get Darker Tans Without The Harmful UV Rays With Melanotan II

Close your eyes for a second and imagine a model. Maybe not a runway model but a swimsuit model. What do you see? An athletic body bronzed by hours in the sun. Let’s face it; these days, everyone wants a tan. That’s why, once summer rolls, hordes of people swarm to the beach and the swimming pool to get out into the sun. But is a tan worth it? Not really. In the long run, spending hours soaking up UV rays will do your skin more harm than good. After years of tanning, you will be left looking more like a leather handbag than a bronze statue.

But that doesn’t mean you have to look like raw chicken either. Using peptides that naturally occur in the body, you can achieve the look of someone who spends time in the sun without actually exposing your skin to harmful UV rays. This peptide is called Melanotan II. Compared to tanning lotions or a spray-on tan, your skin will take on a darker tone without putting chemical colourants on its surface. If this sounds too good to be true, it isn’t; it’s science!

How Does This Work?

Melanotan II is a peptide that mimics the body’s natural melanocortin peptides. These are small chains of amino acids responsible for a wide range of different functions in the body—from the immune system to the libido, and most importantly, for you, the pigmentation of the skin. Put simply, this peptide can stimulate the release of alpha-MSH, which can cause more melanin production, which creates a tanning effect. So, if you have more of these peptides, you can maximize your exposure to the sun.

Without sacrificing your tan, you can spend less time outside or under a tanning bed, getting exposure to harmful UV rays. You also don’t have to worry about sunburn either because Melanotan II boosts how quickly your skin rejuvenates. This makes it a perfect option for even the palest of people who want to get a suntan. But best of all, the darker pigmentation lasts longer than a standard tan because your skin is richer in pigments! So not only can you spend less time outside on your tan, but you don’t have to tan as often.

How To Take Melanotan II

Melanotan II is not a one-time cure-all. Despite its vanity boosting power, it is a medical therapy intended for hypopigmentation (a lack of pigment in the skin) and consequently needs regular maintenance. But don’t worry, it’s easy to continue treatment. Melanotan II is often sold as a powder premeasured into 10 mg doses. You simply mix the powder with 1 to 2 ml of sterile water and inject the solution either subcutaneously (under the skin) or intramuscularly (into the muscle).

Just keep in mind that the premeasured 10 mg dose is not intended to be used all at once. Starting, you should not take more than .03 mg. This way, you will know if your body has any negative reactions to the peptide. Once you are sure you are not going to have an allergic reaction, you can then go up to .05 mg every 2 to 3 days. After about ten days of normal sun exposure, you should begin to see the desired results.

If you do experience any severe side effects such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, flushing of the face, or erections lasting longer than an hour, contact your doctor immediately and stop taking the peptide. These could be signs of an adverse reaction, and the therapy should be ceased at once.
